Really all of this should be common sense, however, EVERY RP I have encountered either breaks their own rules or does not enforce them. You will not find that to be the case here. You will get 3 warnings about any combination of these rules and then you will be kicked out.
❣ Please be of mature age if you are joining. A lot of us are over 18 and prefer that you be as well, given the nature that the RP can possibly take. I am not responsible for any hurt feelings or scarred innocence by those who join that are not 18 and have lied about it. ❣
❣ This is a PvP role play with the possibility of death for your character, if your character is peaceful you will not be allowed to be targeted and should look up a role supporting a ruler.
❣ There will be no meta RPing allowed. You will be pulled aside by a mod for the first 2 mishaps, then you will be let go. It is not hard to be IC, if you cannot separate yourself and your knowledge from your character please stop reading now. - Characters can be broken and OP but no God Modding is allowed. Weaknesses should be apparent based on lore, if not noted in bio, or able to be deduced by basic common sense in a fight. If your character is a mixture of 4 different creatures just so they have none of the weaknesses attributed to those races, I will not approve it, so don't bother. NO EXCEPTIONS
❣ A number scaling system has been put into place to help people understand the difference in level between the roles. That template can be found here. You will use this template for your character and agree to adjust your defense and attacks based on this system. Just like with the roles and allegiances, this system in not set in stone. It is possible to increase your power based on roles, race, training(See rule below) to a point. There is a cap.
❣ No drama will be tolerated. ABSOLUTELY NONE. If you dislike someone keep it to yourself or find a way to dislike their character in RP and let your feelings flow there. If you act like a child or stir up unnecessary crap from obvious envy or jealousy I will make a spectacle of chastising you before kicking you out. If you have issues that cannot be resolved through adult discussion you can contact a moderator to mediate the talks and see if an understanding can be found. Favoritism by moderators will not be tolerated. Screenshot everything before you come to me with anything, I am not big on tattle-tails or ass kissers, either.
❣ Know how to distinguish IC from OOC. If someone's character is flirting with yours they do not want to marry you OOC. OOC and IC relationships are encouraged, but if drama begins from it, refer to the above rule. That being said, if you and your girlfriend or boyfriend break up and are in the RP, KEEP IT OUT OF IC OR OOC, none of us are going to take sides nor do we care. Also, if people are flirting and not being clear with intent that can cause its own drama and those people will be pulled aside and asked to clarify intent with any members they encounter or have encountered. Do not FLIRT to take attention away from other members IC, or just to do it. I don't care about your character flaws, do not ruin the fun for others because you are insecure and crave attention. - This also falls into attempting to make a scene or most RP revolve around your character. It is noticeable when someone is an attention whore, while it may not be a rule, if you have these traits and it is seen that you in a number of scenarios attempt to cause drama IC (Something shocking happens to draw away attention from others and focus it on you) you and I will personally have a problem. This is not a harem RP, nor is it a dating hook up service. Find another IMVU RP for that kind of shit. This also applies to OOC thirstiness in the Discord chat or otherwise. My roleplay is not a means or you to get men to notice you. Find a RL boyfriend.
❣ Attempt to be literate, typos happen but laziness is annoying, this includes text talk.
❣ New skills (or new items obtained) can be learned in a RL week with posts referencing training(The quest to search for it either in the city or outside of it) in detail or briefly over that time at least once a day. This opens up an opportunity for interference by others to keep it fair. If you have not met resistance or had your item stolen within a week from the initial post about starting it you can add it to your skills in your bio/inventory. For skills, they will not be seen as mastered and infallible until it has been used in at least two MAJOR conflicts(Where your character could have or almost died) or sparring with teammates for a month. !The items counted for in this are only plot specific items that put another character at a specific and intended disadvantage. Go buy you a new set of swords boothang!
❣ Abilities and skills for those partaking in combat/sparring will need be be completely outlined. None of that "The full extent of these abilities are unknown" BS, you're not deep and thought provoking; you just lack the imagination to complete your character or are leaving it open to save your ass in a fight. Not happening. That is as far into T-1 combat that I am going. If it gets to a point that I have to judge a fight because you have too much pride to admit you are bested, we are going to exchange words. You will be warned twice then booted from the RP. If your pride is too big to fit in the rooms, don't enter them. Take any questions for your opponent to the OOC room/channel/DMs if a session is in progress.
❣ No parking in the recruiting room or the RP room. Not even if you are a mod. If you aren't around to help a potential, there is no need for you to even be in there.
❣ Keep OOC in brackets and to a minimum in RP sessions, we are logging this stuff, it just makes it easier for us. Send any logs from when mods are not present to me personally to have them updated. When leaving a session please post an exit, I do not want to be stuck on the same day for weeks.
❣ There is no line maximum in my RP, a 3 line minimum, but if you take a hour to make a post, we are going to have issues. Most of us that make large posts pre-write half of it while waiting for our turn and edit it as needed to interact with other characters. If you cannot do that, do not try. I am not trying to spend 8 hours in a RP only getting 3 posts in. Save posts like that for the Discord channel.
-When it applies to the Discord channel, large sessions of 4+ members should have posts replied to within a 6 hour time frame max, otherwise, as to be skipped or NPCd. In small sessions (4 and under) you need to have a reply done within 24 hours of the last person, or ask to be skipped.
-If you cannot commit to a session ,do not join one. If you have real life issues keeping you from RPing, speak up to the RPers you are with or mods and exit your character, just as a matter of respect.
-Side RPs and short story channel RPs are allowed to have 48 hours between posts unless things are openly discussed in the OOC channels about giving/taking more time because of RL. Posts in those channels should not exceed 3 days max, as to be NPCd. If it is for a mutual quest for items or points, losing that day will still need to be made up with an extra post on another day to gain anything.
❣ All new members will undergo a two week trial to make sure you are active and get along with others. Mostly because I can't be asked to put up and take down a ton of bios constantly. Anyone going for a ruling position will be put on a 4 week trial for the same reason.
❣ Do not invite people to the Discord without notifying a mod. Your friends can join but the steps you followed are still the same ones they have to. Discord links should only be given out by a mod once the concept for the character is established.
❣ Budding up to or attempting to buddy up to myself or mods is fine. However, if there is a pattern of concern for mod business noted in DMs or hang outs, you will be warned. If you are not a mod, there is no need for you to worry about what mods are dealing with or doing unless it violates a rule. Asking what goes on in channels you cannot see, why people left the RP, or were booted, is not your business. There is a channel on the Discord for kicking and banning explanations, if there is nothing posted there for you to read then it has been decided by mods that it does not need to be addressed. This sort of fishing behavior is drama. Per the rules, there will be none of it.
❣ Do not try and recruit only for your nation in the recruitment room or try to sway those already affiliated OOC to your nation IC, it breaks my OOC/IC rules for one. Throwing the balance off is only going to get recruitment for your nation turned off by me. Let people decide where they want to put their character.
❣ Any character in one nation is not allowed to move to another or Caelestis until they have RPed actively (Three times a RL week) in that nation for an in character month. They are also not allowed to travel to the intended nature of relocation until 2 weeks IC have passed and they have atleast met or RPed with that Ruler once. This is to avoid favoritism and the breaking of the OOC and IC rule. You are not going to hop over to a nation because you OOC like the Ruler. Stop breaking my rules.
❣ If you are gone for a RL week without contacting a mod, or myself, via PC with a brief or vague reasoning as to why you will be absent (No posting it in general does not count as we may not even see it) you will be kicked for inactivity. No exceptions. You can message one of us in the bathroom on Discord, there is no excuse for lack of communication. Activity means participating in at least one session within a 5 day time frame, not just a few posts.
❣ An intermittent pattern of behavior of any of these will be noted by any mods, and warning will be given or you will be expelled from the RP for continuing to just barely skirt past rule violations.
❣ If any of these seem unreasonable then please bring it up. We are all adults. Conversely, if you think I have forgotten something important. ❣
