Issimir: Most of the kingdom was once surrounded by primordial ice and is often caught in a never-ending winter granted by the giant Ymir, according to legends. The temperatures at the heart of the kingdom range from – 30 degrees Fahrenheit to-60 degrees on its traditionally colder months. Much of the region is covered in snow and there are few roads that lead to the Castle. After the fall of its former leader, Jiraien Laevish, the “Wise King” there were many political and social changes brought to Issimir. The new king, Orpheus “The Conqueror” Avilov, changed the name of the capital to Solheim after the name of his homeland from another world. He created a council to legislate laws and carry out the day to day tasks of running the kingdom. Orpheus also created a new personal guard called the myrmidons and had a special military unit called rangers that carried out the King’s orders directly. The new banner of Issimir is that of a lone black raven on a white flag.

The kingdom is not entirely covered in snow and ice as the western region is a vast open tundra that can sustain some vegetation. This is where most of their farmland is and the largest town in the region is Fort Eir. The fort is where the King started his campaign to take control of Issimir and is a vital trading town with its proximity to Dragomir. The main trade of Issimir is wheat, barely, oats, iron, meat, fur, and milk. There a small forest a few kilometers away from the Fort and is a popular hunting ground called Volla’s forest. A few hamlets exist near the rivers and to the ports that do not see many visitors when compared to Fort Eir.

The eastern region of Issimir is where the weather is the least forgiving with frequent blizzards and heavy snow as well as ice rain. This uninhabitable region is only populated with a newly converted ranger station not too far from Solheim. The only town is far to the east called Hael and has little to no communication to the outside world. Much of the north western region is covered in a forest that is rich in ice berries and ice crystals. Only the hardiest of creatures or denizens of ice could survive in this region. They are not keen to having visitors and would only allow the true King of Issimir or those who bear his crest to enter their ancient homeland. Rich magics make the forest hard to navigate otherwise and earned the name of Jotnar’s Grave for those foolish to steals its treasure.
